GATE — how it works

GATE is a free go / no-go check for URLs you're about to submit via Request indexing — or a checklist before you hit Request review.

Mode A live-proves each URL. Mode B is a five-gate review checklist with a copyable summary. No Search Console OAuth — you still click request in Search Console yourself.

Mode A — Live proof:

• HTTP status must be 200.
• robots.txt must not Disallow Googlebot for that path.
• Page must not say noindex.
• URL must not redirect away — request the final URL instead.
• Canonical must be self / OK (or absent treated as OK for go/no-go).
• Soft smells (missing title, thin body, soft-404 title) — notes only, never force a NO-GO alone.

Mode B — Request review checklist: P0 fixes shipped, sitemap cleaned, sample keep-URLs live-GO, thin hubs handled, no robots traps left on priority URLs.

Mode A uses fixed order — first match wins:

• FETCH_ERROR → NO-GO
• Bad status → NO-GO
• Blocked by robots → NO-GO
• noindex → NO-GO
• Redirects away → NO-GO
• Canonical points away → NO-GO
• Else → GO

Mode B is GO to Request review only when all five checklist items are ticked; otherwise HOLD.

2. 02Mode A: paste up to 20 URLs (or load the nikkos.io example), hit Run, filter GO vs NO-GO.
3. 03Mode B: tick the five gates, add optional proof notes, copy the summary into your ticket or Slack.

• Export Mode A NO-GO rows as CSV — one Do-this per URL before you request anything.
• Paste the Mode B summary as the review evidence block.
• Only request when Mode A is clean for the sample and Mode B is GO.

Spend the indexing shot once, on URLs that can actually be indexed.

• Public HTTP + robots.txt only — GATE never submits to Google for you.
